Waterproofing is the protection of structures against water from the ground.

Where the waterproofing is to be undertaken to a vault, existing or retro basement or cellar this is usually achieved by a Type A form of construction (tanking) or Type C (Drained Protection) or sometimes a combination of both.

We have seen many changes and improvements in technolgy over the past 40 years and although no waterproofing system is completely without risk, we have always chosen systems with proven efficacy whilst still keeping our finger on the pulse of new developements within the industry.

There are a number of methods for both tanking (multi-coat renders, waterproofing slurries, epoxy resins etc.) and drained protection (Cavity Drainage Membrane, drainage tiles etc.) and our Surveyors have the necessary experience and knowledge to determine the best form of waterproofing for a particular project, taking into account the Clients' expectations and the recommendations of BS 8102.
