  1. Providing they are fit for purpose, we use only the safest and most environmentally friendly chemicals available. Even if they cost slightly more than other products and our profit margins are reduced, we feel we must all play our part.

  2. We do not believe that the injected Damp Proof Courses installed by some of our competitors using Poly-oxo aluminium stearate can be justified due to the toxicity to human and aquatic life and the risk of fire, electrical or otherwise. In addition, current thinking is that this chemical is less effective for the treatment of rising damp than other products, due to viscous fingering which leaves pockets of untreated wall.

  3. In our opinion, precautionary treatments for woodworm can rarely be justified and we judge this to be an indiscriminate use of pesticides and in breach of COSHH regulations.

  4. We believe that charging a nominal fee for pre-purchase inspections allows us to be impartial.
